DAY 11 : ZERMATT - SWISS RIVIERA - GENEVA - DIJONWe left the peaceful & clean Zermatt and made our way to Geneva, en route to France.
Today's Friday the 13th and we were jinxed! After leaving Zermatt by train and reaching Tasch Station, we were told that the coach broke down! This delayed everything else on our itinerary. >.<
The pretty Chillon CastleWe stopped by this Chillon Castle. Nothing particularly attractive about it but I guess it looks pretty by the beautiful lake. Even saw a duck's nest at the waterside!
Sign of a developed country: you can't park for >90 mins on busy streetsAfter a suitably long drive, we finally got our asses to Geneva. Had a delicious Chinese lunch (am impressed).
Verdict: Best Chinese food so far.
My future car will look something like this.Then it's the crowded roads lined with Euro Cup flags! Saw the Jet d'Eau Fountain... it really shoots the jet of water way up into the sky! In view of the Euro Cup, they actually added a giant balloon of a football right at the top of the fountain.
One of my proudest Kodak moments. Taken from a moving vehicle no less ._.vSeems like the Euro Cup affected/influenced more than 1 of the attractions in Geneva. Even the flower clock is now done in a football design -_-
World Peace!The next coolest thing is to be able to view the United Nations Palace (from the outside of course). Then it's the giant broken chair display opposite the UN gates.
Created to urge all countries to sign the Mine Ban Treaty.Lastly, we went through a super long ride to our hotel, sadly located in some ulu industrial zone. Tonight we will sleep in Dijon, France.
